A sloth is an animal that moves very slowly and lives in trees. It eats leaves and doesn't move much to not use too much energy. It uses only about 100-200 calories a day. Also, while it takes humans about 12-48 hours to eat food and get rid of the waste, but it takes a sloth 30 days to digest one leaf. So even when sloths are eating, they may die because they cannot finish digesting the food in time.
